Product Description
The clock is a total stamp design
reproduced in solid cherry wood with a semi-gloss finish. Overall dimensions are 15”w x 18”h x 1” deep. These clocks duplicate the pattern of a large stamp including notched edges to represent the serrated edges of regular stamps. Each stamp corresponds to a time unit. That is, a 1-cent stamp is used
for one o'clock, a 2-cent stamp for two o'clock, etc., on through 12 o'clock which uses a 12-cent stamp.
These clocks were designed on a motif symbolizing the most basic component of the United States Postal Service – the stamp. Variations of the theme are limited only by the availability of stamps.
When you browse in the four Stamp Clock sections of this site, you will get a better understanding of the variations which are available. Each clock is powered by the finest quality quartz, battery- powered movement. Each movement has been tested for twenty four hours before shipment. These movements have a reputation for accuracy
and dependability and carry a warranty of 10 years against defects in workmanship and material.
The 1.5 volt “AA” battery is not included.
Each clock is individually handmade in Medina, Ohio by Stan. This design has been copyrighted
by Stan's Plans Inc. (1985).
These clocks can be personalized by adding engraving for $10 a plate. The plates are bright gold with black lettering and measure 5 5/8”w x 1 3/8” h. The referenced photo shows two plates which have been used in the past. The first plate was used for retirees in the Cleveland, Oh division and the second plate
adorned Black Heritage Clocks. The brilliance of these plates was muted for the picture.
